The Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership & Peacekeeping Centre (MLAILPKC) is a Centre of Excellence domiciled in serene environment of Jaji - Kaduna, Nigeria. The aim of Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership & Peacekeeping Centre is to deliver realistic training to potential peacekeepers for the multidimensional challenges of contemporary peace support operations. Working with its partners, the MLAILPKC undertakes and delivers research and training programmes that contribute to global peacekeeping operations. Since 2003, our researchers and training facilitators have delivered over 230 courses in diverse aspects of peacekeeping operations for over 44000 individuals and a number of organizations. Mission Statement

The Mission of MLAILPKC is to deliver realistic qualitative training packages on Peace Support Operations to potential United Nations and regional peacekeepers to prepare them for the complex and multidimensional challenges of modern Peace Support Operations

INFRASTRUCTURE

The Centre has several infrastructure developed in support of its training activities. Amongst these include an office complex, 4 x classrooms, driving simulator, motor transport yard, equipped light aid detachment, training sheds and 2 x tent based training camps (of one battalion per camp).

Accreditation

The Centre received accreditation from the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations as a United Nations compliant Pre-Deployment Training facility vetted by the Integrated Training Service of the United Nations in 2009. The MLAILPKC is an executive member of the African Peace Support Trainers Association (APSTA) and effectively collaborates with other Peace Support Operations training centers in the world such as AU, ECOWAS, EU, APSTAR, Society for Peace Study and Practice and Peace Operations Training Institute (POTI).
